Background (Reasons for attempting The Race)

I have played a lot of sport over the years. Mostly I played gaelic football and hurling at a good standard which took a lot of training . But with other comments I can only train to my own time management so with that I needed a new challenge. Most people would take up golf or watching sport but I needed something different and when I saw The Race advertised I looked at it and said god that would be class and one hell of a challenge. My goal is to start training properly, get to the start and complete it !
