Background (Reasons for entering The Race)

Life only begins when we leave our comfort zones and no better way than the ultimate adventure challenge - The Race. Having only found this sport in the last 2 years, I just can't get enough. I can say that chasing Endorphins has become a way of life. I picked up a injury training for an ultra event this year & never made it to the start line, This been my first ultra event I want to pit myself against myself in the biggest show in Ireland 2014.

What's unique about The Race is the non profit Self Help Africa cause, being fit,  healthy & grateful to be able to give back will either drive me on next year or drag me over the finish line.

Experience

I come from a strong Gaa background & continue to play Snr Hurling with OTooles Gac.

I've competed in lots of different events over the years but the most recents ones are GFN - GFW - WAR - CLEC , Ironman 70.3 - Tri - X country, 1/2 marathons & IMRA. It's hard to beat a person who doesn't give up
