Background (Reasons for attempting The Race)

I like endurance events. Id rather go long than go fast. :) I've built up my experience over the last five years, from non sporting, non swimming, non cycling, to Ironman. I was due to do IMUK this year, but broke my leg in May. However, I transferred to IM Wales last September, and got around because I was stubborn and wanted one of the nice medals! I like doing things I am told are a bit crazy, and try to always do something new and interesting. Having spent the previous 37 years of my life on the couch, its good to finally test my limits. I think the Race will be a great experience, coping with the tough conditions and hard terrain of wildest Donegal.

Experience

Dublin Marathon x3, Donadea 50k, Ballbuster Duathlon UK, x3. Antwerp Half Ironman, Ironman 70.3 UK, Ironman Austria, Vitruvian Half Iron x2, Wicklow AR x2, ROAR AR, BLACKSTAIRS AR x2, Athy Double Oly, Ironman Wales and various other shorter distance running races and triathlons.
