• THE RACE: 250 KILOMETERS 24 HOURS.

    The Race is a 250 km unsupported endurance event across the rugged landscape of North West Donegal. To finish competitors have to complete 15km of kayaking, 166km of cycling, 5km of mountain running and 64km of road and trail running. It is the ultimate 24 hour test of endurance.

Background (Reasons for attempting The Race)

I left Ireland 29 years ago. I live in New York. Peruvian wife, Construction, Paratrooper, High altitude in The Andes and Himalayas and more recently Ultra running in The Sahara. I've looked for adventure in all corners of the globe and finally it has come full circle as I return to Ireland for what is a truly challenging event and adventure.

17 Marathons, 4 North Face 50 mile Endurance Challenges, 2 New York City 60km races, Lake Waramaug 50km, Marathon Des Sables 2012 and 2014.
