Background (Reasons for attempting The Race)

Have competed previously in adventure racing and trail running while living in Japan. My athletic peak reached it's pinnacle when I crawled across the line in the Marathon Des Sables, after a tough week where I was on first name terms with the two sweeper camels. Since returning to Ireland I have been busy on the organisational side of races, most notably the Hardman triathlon in Killarney and the upcoming Xterra Ireland. I can't keep excusing myself from competing by claiming to be organising the event and The Race looks ideal to get back into competing. Looking forward to racing my way around Donegal.

Experience

The MDS. Various adventure races and trail runs in Japan.
