Background (Reasons for attempting The Race)

I have always wanted to do something like this and felt I had it in me to do it but for some reason could never get give myself that drive to do it. I have thought long and hard about the effort and determination that something like The Race requires and feel for me its now or never. For myself and my own frame of mind i'm ready to put in the time, effort, training and concentration to get myself to that start line in March.

Experience

My experience is at events like this is minimal. Up to now my only running experience has been numerous 5 and 10k events whilst cycling I have previously completed the Wicklow 100K cycle
