Background (Reasons for attempting The Race)

I've been active practically all my life. Played Gaelic football from an early age till retirement which i went into Management/Training of local team. For over 10yrs I have taken part in a number of Triathlons, Endurance Races, Challenges. Took part in The Race in 2014 and it was an amazing event, extremely well run and the support was fantastic, unfortunately things didn't go to plan but that's the event in itself, don't underestimate it. Want to get back and crack it this time. Any event that challenges you mentally and physically is worth a go in my books.
