• THE RACE: 250 KILOMETERS 24 HOURS.

    2-4 MARCH 2018

    The Race is a 250 km unsupported endurance event across the rugged landscape of North West Donegal. To finish competitors have to complete 15km of kayaking, 166km of cycling, 5km of mountain running and 64km of road and trail running. It is the ultimate 24 hour test of endurance.

Background (Reasons for attempting The Race)

A while back myself and my wife relocated to the uk. Not long after that THE RACE was launched. I read all the posts and listened to the promotion thinking "that's the one I want to do " but the reality was that the timing just wasn't right. Now however things are different. I can't wait to get to the start. I've had a good year training and racing and I'm ready to be tested.

Experience

Numerous duathlons, several IMRA races, Connemara adventure race, Gael force west , lough derg monster , Wild West run , numerous sportive latest of which is the London 100 , Portumna ultra , Dublin marathon , cork marathon , great limerick run and most recently the glencoe mountain marathon in Scotland.
