• THE RACE: 250 KILOMETERS 24 HOURS.

    The Race is a 250 km unsupported endurance event across the rugged landscape of North West Donegal. To finish competitors have to complete 15km of kayaking, 166km of cycling, 5km of mountain running and 64km of road and trail running. It is the ultimate 24 hour test of endurance. The Race takes place in Spring each year. The 2018 event took place on the weekend of 13th-15th April.

Background (Reasons for attempting The Race)

Business developer in a Family business which employs 250 people . I like to test myself over extreme distances but its a means to an end in my efforts to raise money for Charity. people give more the bigger the Challenge. I think this Challenge is up there or possibly tougher than previous events I have taken on considering the terrain and time of year.

Experience

Ive completed 5 IronMan events, 4 / 70.3 Events, plus a Double IronMan Event 2013 this year I completed the Extreme 26 Coast to Coast Non Stop in May to date I have finished 21 Marathons which include the last 12 Dublin Marathons 20 Half Marathons
