Background (Reasons for attempting The Race)

Participated in numerous sports in pre-teen and teenage years; then entered first sprint triathlon in 2006 and have been hooked ever since. Becoming an active member of a triathlon club has been hugely rewarding for me from both a training, personal and social perspective. I have been eager to enter an adventure race and to learn to kayak and to challenge myself further both physically and mentally. I would love to participate in The Race in one of the most spectacular areas of Ireland and put myself to the test (and enjoy it at the same time).

Experience

Half marathons (Connemara x 3) Marathons (Dublin & Paris) Triathlons - Olympic and Sprint (approx. 30) 70.3 Half ironman (Denmark, Kenmare x 3, Lisbon, Groomsport, Galway, Tri an Mhi, Mallorca) Ironmans (Klagenfurt, Austria and Vichy, France) Duathlon (x 3)
