Background (Reasons for attempting The Race)

Having completed many multisport endurance events I'm attracted to an event that offers something different, pushes my endurance limits and tackles many aspects of the Irish terrain. This unique race offers the opportunity to explore a part of the Irish landscape that is new to me. The fact that this race has a real charity behind it is very appealing as it offers an opportunity to give something back.

Experience

I've slogged my way around many running and multisport endurance events up to ironman. This is a step (or two) beyond that.
