Background (Reasons for attempting The Race)

Having just completed the Adventure Racing World Champs in Ecuador in November, I'm looking for a new challenge. I'm also still on a high from the World Champs, therefore vulnerable, hence signing up for The Race :)

I love the idea of The Race and think it will be an incredible event. While I haven't done much solo 24 hour racing, I'm looking forward to the journey and what will be an interesting test!

Experience

My background is mainly adventure racing having completed my first expedition race over 12 years ago. I have competed in over 14 expedition length races to date, multi-sport races, marathons, half marathons and a few 50k ultras. I sink when I swim, therefore triathlon has never been for me.
