Background (Reasons for attempting The Race)

I have completed numerous adventure races like Gael force west, Connemara adventure race, Killarney adventure race, coast-to- coast Scotland and lots of others.

On the bike I've done numerous events up to 200 miles including this years tour of the peaks Yorkshire and the Ride London, along with a few more.

I've run marathons in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Clare and more recently I've completed the Snowdon marathon and the south downs ultra marathon.

However I think that the toughest event to date was THE RACE in 2015. We were battered all day and night by unreal winds and relentless rain and this year I'm hoping for blue skies and a tropical temperature. It was a fantastic event for the mentally unstable and I cannot wait to be part of it again.
