Background (Reasons for attempting The Race)

I'm originally from Rathmullan in County Donegal and it more or less takes place on my doorstep at home. I’ve been living in the USA for 10 years and I need a new challenge. I also enjoy training for these events!

Experience

I am a 2014 ironman Wisconsin finisher, completed 2x70.3 half ironman challenges, 6xmarathons completed including Tampa Bay, Florida, Chicago, Green Bay and Madison. I've over 30 half marathons completed. I ride with the Trek Ride Club here in Madison, The Capital Brewery Cycling club and BCC cycling club. I take part in 100 mile centuries and 2 day endurance rides for charities like MS and diabetes and plan on doing The RAW ride later this year which is 175 miles across Wisconsin. During the winter months I train at SBR in Verona, which includes swimming, biking and running.
