Background (Reasons for attempting The Race)

I’ve been involved in endurance activities for 20 years, and have had a stab at a few things, 30+ marathons, 18 ironmans, Comrades ultra marathon, relay Channel swim, LEJOG non stop, Mali-Mizen non stop, Haute Route ski mountaineering trek, TransAlp mountain bike.

I have been supporting the charity O2E for many years, which supports very sick and terminally ill children.

For me it’s all about the participation and having a positive physical and mental experience

In the future I would like to try some adventure triathlons, ultra-runs, ultra-bikes and anything else yet to be invented.

Experience

I have completed multiple marathons & ironman challenges and was a Kona competitor this year.

The Race is the next step up, & transition from IM into adventure racing. This hopes to be my last IM & my first adventure race.
