Background (Reasons for attempting The Race)

In 2016 I went up to watch The Race and support a friend who was participating. Secretly I was also there to check it out with a view to completing it in the future. I have a passion for endurance sports and love taking on new challenges.  After seeing the event this year and watching the participants throughout the day I knew it was something I had to try.

Experience

I have completed a number of marathons, half marathons, duathlons and triathlons. Over the last four years I have completed 4 half ironman races and 4 full ironman races. I have no experience with adventure racing but I am looking forward to the challenge.
