Background (Reasons for attempting The Race)

I took part in, The Race, in 2017 and thought it a spectacular event. I had hoped to return some day and it looks like this is possible in 2019. I have raced in multisport races for years with a concentration on ultramarthons in 2018. The Race is great motivation to get back out on the bike and in the kayak for the winter months. I live in the UK and a chance to race in Donegal is too good to turn down. I also finished 4th in 2017 and will enjoy trying to beat my time and maybe even hit the podium in 2019!

Experience

Multiple Ultramarathons including, The CCC Ultra trail du Mont Blanc 101km, Transvulcania 74km, Wicklow Way Race 130km, Donadea 50km, Dorset 55km, Maurice Mullins 52km. Trail races such as Snowdonia Trail Marathon, Exmoor trail Marathon, Maamturk and joyce country challenges. Adventure races such as The Race and Itera Multisport races from 2009-2018 across Ireland, winning Sea to summit and podium in multiple races. Numerous Cycling sportives in West of Ireland and Paris-Roubaix amatuer race France. Challenge Galway Ironman 2017.
