My favourite type of race is off-road multi-sport which involves mountain biking, trail running and kayaking. I love the variety, the planning, the scenery and the challenge. This race will be a different sort of challenge for me. I've never been on a road bike and I've never run a full marathon. At a different time of the year, I would say I'd have an advantage in the kayak section as I live on a lake and paddle regularly but since my lake will be frozen soon (one of the disadvantages of living in Northern Ontario) I'm a little worried my paddling muscles will be rusty by race time. My goal is to finish.

TESTIMONIALS
The Race touches both extremes. It was the toughest but also one of the best weekends I've ever had. - Emma Kerr, Competitor 2015
A great race with a great bunch of people in a great part of the world. - Bill Wells, Competitor 2014
When I finished the race, I was broken, you guys put me through hell, the weather and the terrain made this a far tougher challenge than I had imagined. But I felt privileged to be competing among such astoundingly strong people, in such a stunning place. I recommend it, but only to the brave, the foolhardy, and the extremely fit!- Kate Kelly, Competitor 2015
